In observance of the annual National Day of Prayer, Jefferson County citizens will be meeting to unite in prayer on Thursday, May 7th. Starting at twelve noon, pastors and community leaders will be leading prayer on the steps of Metro Hall, 527 W Jefferson Street. The event will be held rain or shine. Middletown United Methodist Church will be hosting a charity pickleball tournament on May 16th at MUMC Gym 11902 Old Shelbyville Road Louisville KY 40243. Proceeds from registration go to L.O.U. Outreach (https://www.lououtreach.org/ for the unsheltered), and proceeds from concessions go to MUMC youth group for their 2027 Belize Mission Trip. There will be three pool plays, one for 60 and older, one for less than one year experience, and everyone else. Prizes will be given out for the top three players in each group.
